Great Place to Live

My husband and I choose to relocate here from Virginia and it was the best decision we could have made. I have found that of the people that don't like Houston most have been here all there lives and have not experienced the quality of life in other cities. We lived in the Washington, D.C. metro area and let me tell you people are not only rude there on the roads but they are rude in stores, restaurants, etc. I am not bashing D.C., as every city has it's ups and downs. However, I have found that many of the negatives I heard about this area are not as bad as people said. For example, the traffic/commute time is just as terrible in D.C. and other major metropolitian cities, the humidity is also not great in D.C., although I have to admit a little worse here, the people in Houston are friendly especially as compared to other large metro areas. I will say that I think that where you choose to live and what you can afford will always affect your experience in any city. Cost of living is great and we have been able to afford a large home with a pool and a great school system. I advise anyone looking to relocate to read up and visit. Maybe you'll fall in love with Houston just like we have.
