Relocating to Houston from Chicago

I'm 39 years old and was born and raised in Chicago, spent a few years in Tampa Florida, and came back.Well after 11 years, I'm leaving again! Chicago is great, but there is definitely an attraction to a city with a lower cost of living and a warmer climate. I am very excited about the move--only a couple of weeks away! If anyone has any advice about neighborhoods to live in, shop in, stroll in, etc., let me know!
