Well, Chloe, being from anywhere other than Houston, Texas before and after the hurricane hit does not qualify you to make that assessment or any assesment of Houston. I have lived in Houston for more than 39 years and I have been in real estate for a LONG time. I am here to tell you and anyone else who is wondering, that the Katrina issue did raise the crime rate and the general landscape of Houston was VERY adversely affected. I will be moving from the place I have called home as a result and so will anyone else who values a quality of life!!! Why does everyone think it is ok to call people predjudice just for having standards? People that think that are REALLY the ones with the issue. That thinking is why Katrina refugees are still "refugees" this many year later! I say, that if anyone from the Katrina situation does not like it here or can't stand hearing how those of us who belong here feel, then maybe they need to re-visit New Orleans again (permanently). Really...go home...we will not mind!!!! Don't move here or raise a family here. Thanks to the natural disaster and other factors, it is no longer desirable. The weather isn't bad and is about the only "pro" I can think of. Good Luck. And Chloe, I think Metairie is calling you....BYE!
