I've lived here most of my life. I have yet to find something about Houston that is a compelling argument to live here. It's hot, humid, mosquito ridden. It is cheaper here (home ownership) than most places, but that's still not enough to stay. If you come here, don't expect to do any outdoor activities without risking your safety, either from the crime or the weather. You will live here wishing you were somewhere else.
