Moving to HSTN fro Las Vegas?

I just graduated from college and I am looking at relocating to a large city that does not get snow. I have read a ton of different views about HSTN, but I am not sure what to believe. Impartial residents please give me info on the best areas for renters. Also which areas to avoid because of crime. Thanks...
