Review of Houston, Texas

Overview of Houston
Star Rating - 3/29/2009
Houston definitely has a lot to offer. Due to the oil and gas industry, the economy of this area has remained strong over the past couple of years, or relatively strong compared to other areas.

I was told prior to moving to Houston that I'd either love it or hate it. I must admit I lean towards the latter. My main qualms are with traffic, pollution, and allergies. Traffic is horrible here. Houston is a huge city and can take one hour to get from one side to the other without traffic. Having said that, choose where you live wisely as you'll spend most of your time in that part of town.

Pollution is another bad part of this city. With the vast amount of chemical and petroleum facilities in the area, water and air pollution are a natural result. I have never had allergies until moving to Houston and now I have several. I'll be moving this summer (I'm in the military) so I'm hoping some of those go away.
