Eager to Leave Los Angeles for Good!!!!

It is sad what has become of California. This used to be the state the was ahead of everyone else in terms of creativity, culture, and the place to be. In the past 15 years, this state has become a middle of the pack state while money/power/greed has torn this state apart. And that is especially true in Los Angeles.
I'm in my late 20's and I am actually glad I do not own a car and that I can ride a bicycle to work 20 minutes each way. Otherwise, I'd be yet another road-raged commuter driving through gridlock while getting raped at the pump. The infrastructure is decrepit, the job market is not that great unless you want $7 fast food jobs, the public schools in LAUSD are mostly lousy. There is practically no such thing as middle-class here (just the rich and the working poor). I make a decent amount (by non-California standards) yet I live near borderline gangsta/hip-hop wannabes and illegals scavenging for recycled cans.
This state cannot balance a budget and when they take money from the counties, Los Angeles hikes local taxes to make up for it. I have had enough with this city, county, and state. If this is what happens when liberals hold on to power for too long, then I may be better off moving to a RED state (i.e. Texas). Just getting my finances together so I can live the American dream, not the left-coast nightmare called Taxifornia dreaming.
