i've lived in, and taken mass trans in: chicago, san diego and los angeles.
all have adequate buses and trains. the thing in l.a. is that this place is so spread out, so it takes forever to get anywhere by bus or train. i try to get things done in my own neighborhood, or have things shipped to me.
