Review of San Antonio, Texas

San Antonio
Star Rating - 2/14/2011
San Antonio is a good place to live, but the crime and traffic is getting out of hand. However, the real estate taxes are the biggest drawback. I own a 1250 square foot home valued at 117K and my taxes are close to $3000 per year. The poverty and municipal bonded indebtedness here is the highest of any major city in the nation (this is the reason for the high tax rates). However the Parks. missions and downtown area are great and the restaurants are incredible. I love the San Antonio River and the missions and visit then frequently even though I have lived here all my life
