Hello,
my name is Nick, and I am from good ole St. Louis, the city also known as the Gateway to the West. I am considering moving to another place, as I am tired of this one. I have been living here most of my 24 years and want to be in a more tolerant and open-minded culture. St. Louis is not exactly an artist's haven, and I am an artist wanting to pursue my songwriting in a community where it is easier to do so. Forgive me if my opinion sounds biased... maybe I am just bored.
Parts of the metropolitan area are ok, places like Webster Groves, Kirkwood, Clayton & Brentwood, which are kind of halfway between the city, which is where I live and consider to be pretty rough, and the upscale, 95% white suburbs on the fringes of the metro area. If you are planning on moving to StL and can afford it, these are the areas I like most and would recommend... for what it's worth.
