I live in Sugar Land, Technically born and raised. I never lived in Houston for a minute but that effect me everyday. I am 21 years old and am ready to leave. Granted people are friendly here and many are open minded, and it looks like a really nice place to live. It is beautiful, spacious and all they talk about. But personally being literally borderline Houston is horrible. I would not recommend sugar land to anyone unless you plan to live deep in the heart of sugar land, and if your work is in the neighborhood, and there is a school down the street, and if you can get all your shopping done in that same street (not likely). The traffic here is crazy and hectic. Unless I leave early in the morning for school (downtown) at 6:15 in the morning, I will not make it until close to 7:15. The average time it takes me to get anywhere even in sugar land to sugar land is about 30- 45 minutes without traffic. The freeway is shared by all, so casually everyone is on it, and there is so much construction being done on the freeways and highways in Sugar land that it is unbearable. People on the freeway are absolutely the worst! It is so polluted that people get allergies when they come to Houston. Most of my family has allergies; my brother and I are the only lucky ones who don’t. And about taking kids to the park, as anywhere else, I would say keep an open for them and don’t let them out of your sight. I hate taking my younger sister to the grocery store for fear of her getting picked up by some stranger. If you are conservative and care for the well being of your son, I would say the school has a great education system, usually the fort bend groups and schools in sugar land are ok, like but my brother got messed up because he was in the wrong crowd. Teachers are very much needed in Fort Bend actually. They say there are 18 kids per teacher, but not in the high schools and middle schools or elementary schools I attended in sugar land. I would say over 20 if you're lucky and sometimes even over 30 if you are really unlucky. Most people who attend the fort bend schools are actually living in the Houston zones. Houston is awful and because so many people shop in sugar land they just go there and hang out. The place is full of teenagers, young adults and many elderly people. The weather here is horrible. It is hot for almost 7 months of the year. The summers are horrible. People can’t go outside for a minute. Then if we're lucky, the fall breeze may last a month. And th
