Great place to live.

Wilmington, DE has been a great place to live for the last six years. Prior to this address we have lived in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York State. The cost of living, compared to other Northeast locations, is moderate to low with no state sales tax, low housing and property taxes being major contributors. The location is also superb as it is two hours drive to New York City, 90 minutes to Baltimore, less than two hours to Washington DC, 90 minutes to the Delaware Beaches, two hours to skiing in the Catskills, one hour to great water sports on the Cheasapeake Bay, etc., etc., etc. Temperatures are also more moderate then New England and as boaters we find about 40 to 60 more good boating days on the Bay than we did in Massachusetts. We are currently evaluating Delaware as a retirement location based on our great experiences to date.
