Review of San Antonio, Texas

San Antonio
Star Rating - 11/19/2005
I am a 28 year old college student who has travelled to only a few other places in my life, but I must say that San Antonio certainly does NOT have a very active night life for college students/young people. The Riverwalk is a tourist trap, as is the Alamo for that matter. I've heard many of my own relatives complain about the lack of interest associated with visiting this cultural icon (Alamo) as it is very small and over rated. I believe it's a replica of the real thing and was not even rebuilt in the same spot as the original!

Also, the south and SW/ SE sides of town are rather impoverished compared to the culturally vacant but uber affluent North/NorthWest sides of town.

To top it all off, a proposition to fund a better equipped police force was shot down and a proposition to make gay marriage (even more) illegal was approved by a landslide!
