Review of Denver, Colorado

Full of passive aggressive drug addicts
Star Rating - 7/4/2020
My biggest complaint is that while Denver used to be the friendliest city in America it is know the most frighteningly passive aggressive cities in America.

Jobs here are full of passive aggressive employees who gossip and talk smack about each other behind each other’s backs. They will get you fired just because you don’t show any interest in going and getting black out drunk and snorting cocaine after work, or they just don’t like you for some totally unknown reason.

In every apartment building there are a handful of creepy passive aggressive stalker types who are angry that they are under achieving losers. They usually target people like me who ignore them. They will not stop stalking and harassing you until you call the police and get restraining orders. I have never had any restraining orders against anyone anywhere else, not even in the lunatic asylum known as the Bay Area.

Also people here often act shockingly unprofessional at their jobs. For example: Last week I went to Denver health (the only major hospital in Denver proper) to get tested for covid. The nurse who helped me suddenly, creepily our of the blue decided to start bragging to me about how he loves doing drugs (not just weed). Wtf dude?! First of all I’ve been told that I look like a veteran so I don’t know why he thought I would be cool with that. Secondly hardcore psycho drug addicts should not be nurses. I guess since pretty much everyone in Denver is addicted to every drug known to man the hospital has no choice but to hire those dead beats

This is completely ignorant and comes off extremely white privileged and judgmental, it not only is this false, but it is harmful to communities here. Yes Denver is pretty laid back compared to a lot of cities but we are not a bunch of passive-aggressive drug addicts. You also have to understand that Denver these days is made up almost entirely of people who moved here from out of state. So you have a wide variety of people who make up the population.

This review is hilarious. “Jobs full of passive aggressive people”, welcome to the real world. I have never gotten blackout drunk or snorted cocaine with any of my coworkers nor have I been offered or heard of this being a regular thing. Drug use is more out in the open in places like Denver for sure but I’ve lived in eight different cities & I travel all over the country for work. Drug use of all kinds happens everywhere. It seems like every rural town in america is riddled with opioid & meth addicts. Per capita far more than cities. You may be too uptight & high strung for places like Denver. Have you looked at Jacksonville FL or Indianapolis IN? Those might be better fits. I thought the people were really creepy in both places but seems like they’d be your kind of people.

Ok, that is not the city's fault, that is the employees. Open your eyes and see that people are just like that!

I think that perhaps Honest is the one who's on drugs or maybe needs them I don't know. That was just a very bizarre assessment of a city. The entire review focuses around people's behaviors on the job and in apartment complexes. I have to believe that some element of the problem resides in the personality and people skills of the reviewer. Maybe somewhere in Texas or Florida is a better fit for you. Denver has become too cool for its own good and is over loved at the moment. Traffic, housing and general crowdedness everywhere are problems. The legal weed thing was cool for 5 minutes but now that's all you smell everywhere and all the newbies coming think it's a big novelty and take advantage of it all day every day lol. If you do move here please for the love of God if you're going to enjoy the mountains educate yourself about leave no trace and care of the wild places including where you park your car and pack out your trash and put out your fires properly. IMO the best parts of Colorado are the outdoors and they are very quickly being ruined by people who just can't bother themselves to assimilate into the culture a bit and care more about their Instagram than actually enjoying and respecting where they are. We don't give a crap about your Insta here and neither should you.

I'll also add that the further you venture outside the city the creepier it is. It's like being in Boise or Salt Lake City or something "AW HELL, WE DON'T TAKE TOO KINDLY.." Blah, blah, blah. HICKS!!!
