| 2/10/2011 | parent | I LOVE this school! First Principal Langan is an amazing person and a true leader! Without her, DiChiaro would not be where it is. I always tell her that she's never allowed to retire :-). The teachers are also amazing. My daughter, who is in Kindergarden, loves her teacher. My daughter has had a difficult time listening and following directions, and the teacher brought it to our attention and has worked with us in getting my daughter to behave and without her, we could not have accomplished as much as we have in the course of a few months! Thank you! |

The principal is brillant, she is always very positive & on hand to help when needed.The school is very family oriented and every month there is something fun to do at the school!! |

Every teacher my child has had was amazing. The principal is very hands on, and knows all her students by name. She is always on call when you need her, and very attentive and yet very respected by all the students. | 6/1/2007 | parent | I recommend this school all the time. My two boys go here (5th grade and 2nd grade) and if we weren't moving out of the area, my daughter would be going there in the fall. Even though Yonkers doesn't have neighborhood schools, DiChiaro has a neighborhood feel. Parents are involved and the teachers and staff know every student & parent. My kids take the bus and I don't get to as many PTA meetings as I would like due to scheduling conflicts and everyone at the school still knows me by name. Teachers are extremely patient and kind but will be tough when necessary (which I personally think is a good thing). It's too bad it only goes to 5th grade! We had a great experience there. |
| 3/13/2006 | parent | Academically my child has improved. My son was transferred to a bronx school and he couldn't read within two months my son was sounding out words and identifing words. I love one of my guidance counceolrs mrs. Scheei. She keeps me up to date with my son. If there was any problem she never hesitated to call me and i never resisted the call. The teachers were great. Mrs. Cailoa, mr.Shrade. And mrs. Giambaldo had made the transition of being in yonkers a success. |

| 12/22/2005 | parent | Every time I attend a PTA meeting or go to any school function, I am humbeled by the level of comittment by EVERYONE at this school. Each child is treated as if they were part of the family. They have been working without a contract, but you'd think they were paid like executives, the way they work. I consider myself lucky to have my daughter in this wonderful caring environment. The consitently score as high as the Perls school for gifted children on the standard state tests. I love this school. |

Ms. Langan was always willing to help in anyway she could. When I looked into the schools in new location I think I came to picking the best school the closest to what DiChiaro offered. My boys are receiving a top notch education and the best part is--the school is up the street from our home! It's an excellent school and has an outstanding faculty that fosters a community feel throughout the school! |
