Worst City in America - 2/8/2009
Boston is the armpit of the world. I'd rather spend five years in Attica than a weekend in Boston. The people are rude and cocky for no other reason than they're fat, meat-headed xenophobes, the girls are ugly, the weather even uglier, the roads are horrendous, the nightlife is abysmal, and the overall quality of life is about as good as that of Darfur. I lived there for four years so I know what I'm talking about. I've also lived in four other states and visited about 40 states in this country, and I can say that Boston is, without a doubt, the worst place I've ever Read More

Best sport city in the world!! Losers stop Hating! - 2/4/2009
Boston to me is one of the most amazing cities to grow up in and live there now. I have lived in Tampa, FL for the last 15 years but recently moved back. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. So much to see, so much to do. You can get NY type of food from around the world. So much history. I could walk around Boston, Cambridge or Cape Cod and just look around forever. Unless your a redneck or a hillbilly or have lived under a rock all your life how could you not love it. Then again if someone’s a huge, fat, rolls all hanging out everywhere from their tank top then I could understand someone hating it! How am I able to describe you people? Simple; can't be a sports fans if you hate Boston, so that makes you a geek, nerd or gay. You can't be getting any girls because you probably got shot down but one of those ugly girls in Bean town. I mean everyone knows some fat boy, loser that does nothing but sit in front of the computer eating twinkles isn't going to walk around Boston. Boston is a Read More

Tons to do - 1/30/2009
Hi-
I don't live in Boston, but did visit Boston for work. I think it's an awesome place. I was a solo female, so it was sort of intimadating going into the Big beautiful city by myself. However, the people at the Sheraton *near the airport* were just fantastic. Information as to where to go and what trains to take, places to visit. I can't wait to go back and take my husband!! The culture there is just awesome. I live in STL and there's not a huge variety here...not like there..anyway, I say if you have a chance to go, Go experience a taste of Boston Read More

Boston is over-priced, over-rated and the people a - 11/28/2008
I've lived in many cities in different parts of the U.S. and I can honestly say Boston, MA is my least favorite. If you've lived here all your life, or you're a college kid or someone who just graduated and stays along with your friends, maybe it's a good place to live. But if you don't fit one of those categories, forget it! It's terribly difficult to make friends here. People are generally touchy, defensive and ready to pick a verbal argument over seemingly everything. Unless you're a professional you'll receive just a little above minimum wage. And if you don't have a college degree - FORGET IT!! It doesn't matter how much work expensive you are or how bright you are you won't get hired or even seen for an interview. Over-priced. Over-rated. Rude people. Can't wait to leave!  Read More

Thinking of moving to Boston - 11/13/2008
I was thinking of moving to Boston because the schools spend the most amount of money towards education I have seen on Sperlings. Are the schools as good as the statistics show? It seems from most of the reviews that Bostonians are really stressed out. Were coming from Florida. I think it may be too much of a culture shock for my family. Are people really this angry in Boston? Why is the education so good but the attitudes so bad. Doesn't education, wealth and happiness go "hand in Read More

I never needed a car - 10/27/2008
I've lived in Boston for 4 years, going to school in the heart of the city. Transporation has been great. Usually great. It's very easy to get around the city via the T and even better when you figure out the bus systems. I never needed a car. Grocery store was up the street, I could get to any one of my jobs within a half hour by T in rush hour. Then I made the decision to move out of the city to save a little on rent. Boy was that a mistake. Takes me an hour and 15 minutes to get to work, and I have to make 4 transfers. Yes thats 5 different vehichles of transportation to get me to where I need to go. Boston is a fantastic city to move around. Once you're actually Read More

Expensive - 7/12/2008
I have lived in Boston all my life with the exception of 10 years (military service); I have seen prices rise and fall but nothing in comparison with the past few years. It is almost impossible to feed my family of four children. Thank God 3 children are on their own. Although everyone nationwide feels the effect of our declining economy, things still look better in the Read More
