I grew up in nearby Quincy, but I worked in Boston for a period. Overall a good town, plenty to do, see, etc. Had I had a few more dollars I would have stayed in Boston and moved into the Back Bay neighborhood, with its traditional brownstones and such. I ended up leaving for Philadelphia (I know, but I had to go) and I sorely miss Boston. My only gripes are the cost of living and an extremely liberal culture second only to the likes of San Francisco.
