Boston is very, very nice, but expensive. Commutes are tough, and parking in the city is tough. I have a condo in the city with an indoor parking place, otherwise I wouldn't be as positive about the location. And, did I say expensive?
There are recreation areas to the north, west and south. There are many colleges as well as 2 good adult education enterprises. Also plays, concerts and so forth.
