I hate Boston

I lived in Boston while going to Boston University from 2002-2005 (not during the summers though). I was so glad to leave, and I will probably never go back. The people in Boston in general are rude, especially the drivers. They are always in a rush and if you don't know where you're going, they'll slam on the horn and flip you off. When you're first at a red light, if you don't go within 1 second of the light turning green, they're on the horn, screaming their heads off. It is really easy to get lost, there are lots of one way streets and roads are closed for construction or events, usually the one I need, and there are no easy detour routes. I almost always took the T (the public transportation system), and while it's easy getting around the city this way, getting on the T, especially during the school year, is a whole other story. Countless times I have waited half an hour, only to have the T pass me by. Sometimes even two or three pass by. They are so jammed full of students that the drivers can't shut the doors, they try to shut them several times but they keep closing them on people. There's such a mad rush to get on the T that people will push you away and cut you off. Once you get on, hold your breath. You're so close to people it's really uncomfortable, and sometimes you can be in a really awkward position trying to hold on to the bar. Waiting for the T is even worse in the winter, when the temperature is around 10 and the wind chill is -15, and you wait outside for 25-30 minutes as three T's pass by. The winter was really bad from 2002-2005, don't know about it now. Temperatures in low teens or single digits, wind chill in the negatives. The last winter I was there was really snowy, I think over 80 inches with one really strong blizzard. There are some pretty areas, but they are scattered. Where BU is along Commonwealth Ave is ugly, and Allston, where lots of students (and I) live off campus, is littered with trash and grafitti. The crime is really bad; two girls were mugged down my street, plus there were several burglaries in the apartment buildings down my street including my building. Someone attempted burglary of my apartment but didn't succeed, only busted up the doorjamb. I didn't feel safe at night walking back to my apartment. There are homeless people everywhere begging for a quarter. The city has been under construction for years (the Big Dig) and it is unlikely to be done anytime soon. It is really ridiculous,
